
JAMIE BENNETT, LMSW, ACC

Jamie is a social worker, coach and trainer. After earning her Masters Degree in Social Work in 2010, Jamie accepted a position of Campus Coach with the Seita Scholars Program at Western Michigan University, located in Kalamazoo, MI. In that role, Jamie had the privilege of coaching nearly 100 college students with foster care backgrounds as they pursued their undergraduate degrees. In 2013, Jamie began working on development of the Fostering Success Coach Training. To date, Jamie has trained over 200 coaches in a comprehensive coaching model to support underrepresented student populations in the United States.
To expand her coaching skills, Jamie engaged in formal coach training in 2014, and recently earned her Associate Certified Coach certificate through the International Coach Federation. In addition, Jamie also met the requirements to earn her Master of Social Work Clinical License. Jamie has presented at dozens on national conferences in the U.S., providing keynote addresses and plenaries to hundreds of professional service providers. Jamie is viewed as a leading expert in issues related to coaching college students who have experienced foster care, and has a passion for helping people find ways to grow and reach goals through coaching. Further, Jamie provides consultation and professional coaching to those working in the field related on issues related to self-care, balance and overall wellness. Jamie has extensive experience in coaching on topics including educational and career and financial goals, relationships and family, self and identity, and health and wellness.
Jamie resides in Florida with her husband, by the sea. She enjoys spending time with her step-children, her nieces and her best friends. She loves the ocean, great books, a good wine, and her beloved cats.
